Showcasing the geology and history of the Snake River Canyon, the enchanting scenic byway is a popular drive for many who want to experience the beauty of Idaho and its stunning scenery.  Offering waterfalls, springs, canyons and more spectacular sights along the way, this 67 mile highway takes about 1.5 hours to travel, though you are sure to want to pull off to take in the sights and sounds of the journey, so you may want to allow some extra time on your trip.  With the Snake River flowing beside you all along the way, keep an eye out for Idaho wildlife around the water such as Sandhill Cranes, Mallard Ducks, Swans, Mourning Doves and Canada Geese just to name a few.
